Directional drilling is becoming an increasingly important part of mineral exploration because of the overall saving in cost and time that a successful project can achieve. In this course, the first of three in the certificate program that focusses on directional drilling we will consider some fundamental concepts and we will discuss the principles of application of several different ways of altering the trajectory of a borehole.
This course consists of 3 modules:
Module 1: Methods of changing borehole trajectory
Module 2: Some key directional drilling concepts
Module 3: Methods of orientating a directional tool and obtaining survey data
